Opinion: Why did Brexit become political orthodoxy?

Just over a month ago, Parliament voted to ratify the government's Brexit deal. It passed practically unanimously, with only 3 MPs voting against. These MPs were the 3 Solidarity MPs. However, Solidarity's manifesto also reaffirmed Brexiteer thinking, declaring that "we will defend sovereignty wherever necessary to ensure that our socialist vision can be implemented without obstruction from the European Union."
It leaves me wondering -- why did Brexit become political orthodoxy? It is almost certain that, if you get yourself the most laissez-faire of Libertarian candidates and unite them with the most staunch trade unionists from the Labour Party, they will all have one thing in common, and that's Brexit. Prime Minister Youmaton, on the day of the Brexit debate, stated that "It is time to get Brexit done", and on the same day, Friedmanite19 said that "I’ll be voting for this deal to get Brexit done".
The policies are not only the same, but the talking points are! No-one in British politics is willing to defend the European Union, which is highly disappointing. Despite its flaws that I acknowledge, it is largely a net benefit. The only people who can disagree with that are nativist nitwits against further integration with Europe, and of course, politicians seeking to gain the votes of those people.
Make no mistake, these politicians are not stupid. They do not believe that Brexit is sincerely a good idea. I'm sure some do, but I would hope that our nation is not in such a poor position that all of our politicians believe in Brexit as a good idea. No, the mood when this bill was passed was not fierce opposition from the people who knew better, or even sadness that this was a thing that was seriously occuring, but joy. Joy that Brexit was finally done.
Because our politicians have decided it is not worth advocating for what is right anymore. No, if you voted against Brexit, these parties have determined you are not worth their vote, and instead they will chase the vote of the slack-jawed xenophobe Brexiteers.
This is what has driven me to run in this election as an unabashedly pro-European candidate. I will not shy from the EU if I believe that doing so will win me more votes. Instead, I will stand up and defend Europe and fight for rejoining as soon as possible. If you live in the East of England region, then I am humbly asking for your vote this election.
