EXCLUSIVE: CheckMyBrain11 to be next Prime Minister as model-david concedes the Tory leadership

The Independent can confirm that, despite his better than expected perfomance last night, model-david has conceded the Conservative Party leadership election to CheckMyBrain11. As a result, Check "The Brain" Johnson has all but secured his ascent to the office of Prime Minister of Great Britain, pending a vote of confidence in his taking office as Conservative Party leader.

The leak received by the Independent that all-but-confirmed Brain's accession to the Tory leadership.

In confirming the reports, Party deputy leader and noted ally of the next Prime Minister, MatthewHinton12345, said "All of the candidates had unique attributes working in their favour but CheckMyBrain11 emerged as preeminent among them. I have had the pleasure to work with him over the past year and I know he will make an excellent Leader and Prime Minister. I am very pleased." Regarding model-david, he said "David is the epitome of a Conservative success story. I was pleased to see an alternative candidate do well, and the race and the party are richer for his contribution."

Cambridgeshire MP and self-described social liberal model-david withdrew from the contest in the name of 'party unity', despite his better than expected performance last night.

Speaking to the Independent, model-david said "Party unity is far more important than my personal ambitions. While I thank the people who put their support in me, now is not the time to widen party divisions. I congratulate CheckMyBrain11, and look forward to working with him."

Outgoing leader and Prime Minister Yukub simply quoted Ecclesiastes 2:18, from the Bible, when asked to comment; "So I loathed all the fruit of my effort, for which I worked so hard on earth, because I must leave it behind in the hands of my successor."

CheckMyBrain11 was also congratulated by figures from across the political spectrum, who also warned him against acquiescing to his coalition partners in the LPUK, with Labour Party leader lily-irl offering her "sincere congratulations to Brain - he’s a competent MP and has what it takes to be a leader. I hope as Prime Minister he can moderate the ideology of his coalition partners."

Liberal Democrat acting leader Randomman44 said "On behalf of the Liberal Democrats, I offer my congratulations to CheckMyBrain11, who is set to become our new Prime Minister. Of course, we are having our own leadership election as we speak, and so I hope that both of our new leaders will offer fresh hope in Liberal Democrat-Conservative Party relations, and that the Conservative Party works to prevent destructive Blurple policies and instead build a greener and fairer nation for all."

Former leader and Prime Minister model-mili, who now sits as a Liberal Democrat, congratulated Brain, and called him the best placed person to "stabilise" the Conservative Party, saying "CheckMyBrain11 is one of the most competent political operators I've had the pleasure of meeting during my time in Westminster. He was a brilliant member of the Government I led, and an even better friend to me. If anyone can stabilise the ship of the Conservative Party and ensure they come out of the tough times ahead relatively unscathed, it's him. I wish him the best of luck."

Not everyone offered their congratulations, however, with Solidarity leader motelblinds saying "The result of the Conservative leadership is, at this point, of little concern to myself or Solidarity. Instead of petty party politics we remain focused on pursuing our legislative agenda and fighting the Governments backward and repressive policies on every front possible."
